When I saw the book Paper Home was coming out, via Twitter, I promptly contacted the PR at Pavilion books to request a copy. I’m an origami fan (though very much a learner) and it looked like a handy guide to help me develop my skills. I was delighted when a free copy arrived through the post.

The book includes 15 origami projects, from beginner to expert. There are several floral designs, including a daisy, rose and lily.

The book recommends the Triangular Basket and Star Garland as beginner projects. I’m looking forward to trying them: the instructions are clear, with photos accompanying every stage.

The ideas in Paper Home are creative, original and offer a great way to decorate your house on a budget (I’m tempted to use William Morris paper to create some, “beautiful and useful items,” for my flat.)

Paper Home by Esther Thomas is a beautifully-produced hardback book that is sure to make any origami fan smile: a great bookshelf addition for anyone who likes crafting.
