Autumn brings with it a host of crafting opportunities. Try one of these to celebrate the season.
- Make wax leaves. Melt beeswax over a double boiler (never in the microwave) then dip leaves in was and peg up to dry, either on the washing line or to a piece of string stretched over a cardboard box if the weather is rainy.
- Make an autumn wreath: Form garden wire into a circle, wrapping it round two or three times so you can easily tuck leaves and herbs in to form your wreath. I like to use rosemary as a base, along with ivy and autumn leaves. You can use wax leaves to make your wreath last longer.
- Make a seasonal bouquet: Use pine cones, seed heads and feathers to make an autumn bouquet.
