I’m not generally big on shopping or consumerism, but  I love this  wearable planter as it means even nomads and couch-surfers can do a bit of micro-urban gardening. There are lots of designs to choose from, at around £35: a reasonable price for something this original, quirky and fun.

Garden loves #2: Light up furniture

While I’m not entirely enamoured with the design of this furniture, I do love the concept: rather than relying on candles or solar powered lights, simply opt for light up furniture from M&S (of all places) instead. Here’s hoping it’s a trend that catches on so that there’s a greater array of designs to choose from soon.
